Fresh Shoots Festival Week 1

We welcome you all to 'Fresh Shoots Festival' a project in collaboration with Alinea, Hip Hop HQ, Mutant Jazz, Perk, & Transmission where we'll be focusing on emerging locally based musicians, with their roots firmly established in the fertile soil that's our incredible Liverpool music scene! 🌱🌷🌼

Thursday 26th March - Mutant Jazz

Bringing a jam-packed line up, Alifex will dish out massive servings of Afrofunk, Eclosion will hatch out fully formed from their hypnotic Contemporary Jazz chrysalis, Grounded Thread will connect through the blending of Tap, Jazz and virtuoso cello...... then there will be a jam session. In between the sets and at the end, DJ Copiousnotes will be spinning a selection from her extensive vinyl collection including Fusion, 90's Hip-Hop, Acid Jazz, Progressive Jazz, Soul and Funk.

Friday 27th March - Transmission

Presenting a night of trans-centred left-field electronics and alternative music. Headlined by the scandalous queercore band, Dead Animals, support from lynchian theatrical, Domestic Partners as well as VCX (Videocults x Xavier).

Saturday 28th March - The Hip-Hop HQ

As well as the INCREDIBLE Finite Experience making their HHHQ debut (with a very special guest MC), we have a line FULL of HHHQ legends who have been representing us from day one including Blu Boy, Raven Radha, Nattyhead & DJ Benno!

Now, usually at the end of the night, as all you Hip-Hop HQ heads know, after the headline act, we finish the night with a freestyle cypher (hosted by the Hip-Hop hippy and head honcho of the HHHQ: Motormouf!) with the DJ on the night, HOWEVER, this time, it will be with Finite Experience providing us with a live freestyle cypher session, so expect some tasty cosmic jams to jar!
