When Amber and Izzy meet by happenstance, Amber coldly resists Izzy’s extroversion. Their relationship begins to thaw, however, as they realise the source of their deep and abiding shame: they both carry secrets.Second Hand News presents two individual retellings of the same events, first inviting the audience into Amber’s inner world as she learns to express herself. A shift of perspective revisits the moment of their chance encounter, this time from Izzy’s point of view. Despite never sharing the stage, Amber and Izzy find their way towards healing and growing together.
