Willie J Healey - Intimate Stripped Back Album Launch

Willie J Healey stops off at Jacaranda Records/Phase One to celebrate the release of highly anticipated new album Bunny out 25th of August.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

The renowned Oxfordshire singer was hand picked for Florence and The Machines arena tour and has received admiration from Alex Turner, JoeTalbot of IDLES, Jamie T, Orlando Weeks and many more hailing his songwritting talents.

The lead single of the album Tiger Woods’ sees Willie diving headfirst into a style of music he has always loved, but that never previously found itsway into his own songs. It’s a low-slung, sensual ‘70s soul jam, with Willie’s laid-back grooves and falsetto inspired byinfluences spanning from David Bowie deep cuts, the relatively unheard full-funk album ‘The Gouster’, to OutKast. Itechoes a myriad of groove-laden music, from ‘Midnite Vultures’-era Beck to Sly & The Family Stone.
