North Manchesters Dirty Laces attack with their intensity and drive for musical greatness. Their sound has constantly evolved and matured in their transition from adolecence to manhood. 

The band encapsulate the liberation of garage rock and proto-punk but with a refined focus on dynamic changes and instrumental soundscapes found in early progressive rock. Let’s say they are the bastard child of Pink Floyd and The Stooges.

The band continually sell out venues in their home town and beyond with their relentless touring and solid-work ethic. This has seen them creep up the bill at major festivals playing to thousands of unfamiliar faces and rising to the challenge every time.Their records have caught the eye of DJ’s nationally regardless of their underground sound. 

They have become regulars on BBC 6 Music, Amazing Radio and ‘XS’ Manchester.

John Denton

Manchester’s fast-rising young songwriter armed with gritty lyrics, a fearless 12-string attack, and stories far beyond his years. His debut single ‘Not The Same’ (2025) took off with tens of thousands of streams and praise for its emotional honesty.

Supported by Johnny Marr, invited backstage by Bruce Springsteen, and newly signed to Modern Sky UK. John’s debut EP lands summer 2026.
