Ida The Young are an alternative rock/electronica band based in Czech Republic. Over the past few years, the band have evolved from intimate folk beginnings into a five-piece band that deliberately resists easy genre classification. Their music moves between alternative rock, folk and electronic textures, with each release exploring a different side of their sound. Their 2025 debut album Tell Me When You Pass The Sun (Korobushka Records) earned them all three of the Czech Republic’s major music awards - the Anděl Award, the Apollo Award and the Vinyla Award, making Ida The Young one of the most acclaimed emerging bands on the Czech music scene.

Announced with lead single Dragon Head, their upcoming full-length Seeing In Reverse (Day After Records,2026) captures the Czech five-piece pushing their sound into heavier, stranger and more experimental territory. Rather than limiting themselves to what could later be reproduced on stage, they treated the studio as an instrument in its own right. The result brings electronics and live instrumentation into constant dialogue. 

They have played over 200 shows all over Europe, including some of the biggest festivals in the Czech Republic and abroad, such as Colours of Ostrava, Sharpe Festival, Rock for People or MENT Ljubljana. The band is known for their eclectic, ever-changing live shows, often performing different versions of their songs depending on the venue and mood.
