There was a time when people really danced... when every beat meant something, & every soul felt it. That time is back as Move On Up returns: 5 hours of Northern Soul, Tamla Motown, Latin Soul, Funk & a smattering of Disco soul sounds. No judgment! No pretence! Just bloody good music & good people!

The amazing basement sixties & seventies soul party that is Moveonup first started attracting clubbers of Leeds to their weekly residency in 1995. With it’s blend of Tamla Motown, Northern Soul, sixties beat alongside raw funk & disco, it became one of the UK’s longest running weekly clubnights, establishing itself amongst many music fans looking for an alternative to the house/electro/dubstep/baseline sounds that dominated many of the other city’s venues. 

Expect to hear the sounds of Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Jackie Wilson alongside the rarer soul sounds from the Northern & Latin Soul scenes.
