Friday 27th September
An eclectic fusion of the UK’s finest comedy club comedians and a venue that has seen an epic 21st Century reimagination, Comedy – Live at The Garage is the rapidly becoming the sell-out show you need to see.
Lineup:
Funhouse Comedy is back at The Garage, Chilwell on Friday September 27th for more fun and laughter.
Topping the bill is 2013 BBC Radio New Comedy Award winner Steve Bugeja, who has supported Russell Kane on tour. A successful comedy writer and co-creator of ITV2’s sitcom Buffering, which he also appears in; he has contributed to ‘Mock The Week’, ‘8 Out of 10 Cats’ and ‘Russell Howard's Good News’ to name a few. Lively and appealing, he has a gift for matching physical comedy with sharp observations. His somewhat geeky persona is underpinned by his self-deprecating humour.
Opening the night will be award-winning comedian, musician and best-selling writer Andrew O’Neill, who has appeared on ‘Never Mind The Buzzcocks’ and appeared at numerous festivals including Glastonbury and Download. A psychedelic non-binary whirlwind, they combine surrealism, polemic and good old-fashioned stagecraft to produce uniquely counter-cultural stand-up.
Completing the line-up is the sometimes self-disparaging musical comedian, Friz Frizzle with his individual anecdotes and speedily delivered song parodies.
Compere for the night will be the very funny and highly talented Patrick Draper, who took the comedy world by storm after winning a string of new act competitions, with his deadpan delivery, witty one-liners, killer punch lines and ridiculous short stories.
