Hannah Platt & Josh Jones WIP

A work in progress double-header from Dave’s Edinburgh Comedy

Award Best Newcomer Nominee JOSH JONES and BBC New Comedy Award Finalist HANNAH PLATT.

Mancunian ray of sunshine, JOSH JONES is one of the most original voices to emerge from the North-West in recent years.

After his hilarious debut TV appearances on E4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats and ITV’s Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club, Josh has gone on to make guest appearances on The Jonathan Ross Show, Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats and Cats Does Countdown, ITV2’s Iain Stirling’s CelebAbility, Dave’s Late Night Mash, and Comedy Central’s Undeniable, Guessable, Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains and Comedy Central Live.

In 2022 Josh was nominated for Best Newcomer at Dave’s Edinburgh Comedy Awards for his critically acclaimed sell-out show Waste of Space. He was previously a finalist for the prestigious BBC New Comedy Award, which he subsequently went on to judge on BBC Three. Josh was also nominated for Outstanding On-Screen Talent Featured in a Production at the 2022 Royal Television Society Northern Ireland Awards for hosting Fast Food Face-Off for BBC Three.

HANNAH PLATT has already been making her

mark as a comic, having been described as “a voice of a new generation”

by The Skinny and “a distinctive voice with something to say” by

Chortle, never shying away

from sensitive topics with acerbic, brutal honesty and quick wit.

She was a BBC New Comedy Awards Finalist,

recently wrote and starred in her own Laugh Lesson for BBC Three, and

has supported Kiri Pritchard-McClean, Fern Brady and Lou Sanders on

As seen on BBC Three and heard on BBC Radio 4.

'A voice of a new generation'...'she clearly captures a disaffected youth and world-weariness far beyond her years' THE SKINNY

'It's not easy to talk about mental health in a full set, so to touch on subjects such as self-harm in a brief competition set was pretty impressive' Bruce Dessau, BEYOND THE JOKE

'Wears her heart on her sleeve as she discusses her mental health issues with a disarming honesty and a mordant wit. Distinctive, and she feels like a voice with something to say' Steve Bennett, CHORTLE
