Rising Moon X Up ‘Ere Production X Red Brick Theatre presents MOJO by Jez Butterworth
The team that brought you the ***** production of AMERICAN BUFFALO last year are back with Jez Butterworth’s Olivier Award winning dark-comedy. 1950’s. Soho. Ezra’s Atlantic Nightclub. In the seedy gangster underworld of the rock’n’roll scene, club owners fight for control of Silver Johnny, the latest young sensation. MOJO premiered at the Royal Court in 1995, he has since gone on to writer The Ferryman, The Hills of California and Jerusalem, which has collected away plethora of awards on both sides of the Atlantic. This 30th anniversary production & Manchester premiere will be directed by award winning director Oliver Hurst. Starring John O’Neill (American Buffalo, Cock, Emmerdale); Matthew Khan (Waterloo Road); Jack Elliot (The Mousetrap, West End); Paddy Stafford (Too Much World at Once, Dr Who); Charlie Watkinson (Sexy Beast) and introducing Gaz Thomson in their professional stage debut. In support of FORTALICE ‘It makes you feel like you're making it up when you’re talking because people look at you and think ‘That can't have happened!’ But it did, because you lived it.’ Following the recent success of American Buffalo and Faith Healer, award-winning director David Thacker teams up again with Lisa Connor, to direct his new play, created from verbatim transcripts of conversations he has had with five survivors of domestic abuse at Fortalice. Fortalice provide frontline services in the community for all victims of domestic abuse including Refuge for women and children.

Fortalice provide frontline services in the community for all victims of domestic abuse including Refuge for women and children. Rising Moon Productions and Form and Pressure in association with Fortalice. present ‘That Can’t Have Happened!’ Created and directed by David Thacker sponsored by University of Greater Manchester The five women, who have agreed that their words should be used exactly as transcribed and edited by David Thacker, are played by: Vicky Binns, Isabel Ford, Bel Odawa, Eve Steele and Flo Wilson. DAVID THACKER RETURNS TO THE KING’S ARMS SALFORD After the huge success of American Buffalo at The King's Arms David Thacker returns to direct Brian Friel’s great play, Faith Healer. Faith Healer Was voted as one of the most significant plays of the twentieth century in a poll conducted by the National Theatre and considered by The Independent to be one of the ‘40 best plays of all time’. Frank Hardy (Colin Connor), his partner Grace (Vicky Binns) and manager (Rupert Hill), have spent years travelling in a small van to remote villages in Wales and Scotland, hoping to find an audience for Frank’s apparently miraculous healing. Their accounts often contradict as they share the troubled thoughts and unresolved mysteries of their lives in Friel’s haunting, gripping masterpiece. They retrace their journeys along the long and winding road that leads them back to Ireland and a fateful night in Ballybeg.
