VERVE Poetry Night Feat. Luke Kennard & Open Mic (16+)

We'd love to welcome you back to our new(ish) quarterly night for stunning national and local poetry with open mic - all hosted by regular VERVE Poetry host Sam J Grudgings. Our events will usually be on the second Tuesday of the month with subsequent night's scheduled for October, January & April.

Our night will have four features - two local and two national and of varying levels of experience. We're thrilled to write that our July headliner is pride of Brum and Forward prize winner, Luke Kennard!

Our features have an East Midlands feel with the brilliant Shareefa Energy joined by VERVE Leicester poet Ty'rone Haughton. Wonderful Birmingham based Ayan Aden makes up the list!

Each half of the night will have room for 5 open-micers (so 10 open mic slots in all!) followed by two of our featured poets.

Open mic sign up between 6.30 & 6.50 on the night - names will be drawn from a hat at 6.55pm.

These are proving to be storming nights of lively and lovely poetry where new voices blend with those of quality features! Join us!
