Two duos intersect, forming this trio of hyperextended close miked mouthful and breath driven antics for un-processed double voice and trombone, combined with monotron, feedback and sound files.
Collaborations spanning nearly one and two decdes, Minton and Chen have been singing together since 2005, while Nørstebø and Chen formed BEAM SPLITTER in 2015. As an intermittent trio, formed in friendship and during travels, the three have developed a solid rapport and unique overlap of shared sonic languages.
They have separately toured the globe extensively, each carving out highly idiosyncratic approaches to music making. As a trio or in extended projects, they have performed together in the UK, US, Portugal, Ukraine, Germany, Argentina and Brazil.
Their trio debut album "wrists out", an unedited concert recording from Portugal, was released on Lisbon based Robalo music in 2024.

Core Of The Coalman
Jorge Boehringer’s solo exploration ‘Core of the Coalman’ sounds microtonal vibrations and feedback to excite emergent vibratory behaviours and textures. These days, they tend to perform using a realistic keyboard, a silver mixer, a wooden viola, Tibetan bells, all colours of whistles, and occasionally motors and other circuit junk like computers. Loud speakers are a much beloved ingredient.

Gary Wilkinson
Power tools, sampled orchestra and distortion pedals. Gary Wilkinson creates music using public domain classical pieces to tell stories from the former mining villages. Wilkinson will be performing BLACK HOLE which describes the socio-political-economic black hole the mining communities found themselves in after the miners strike and the subsequent disintegration of those ‘left behind’ mining communites. The piece is accompanied by a film.
