The amazing basement sixties and seventies soul party that is Moveonup first started attracting clubbers of Leeds to their weekly residency in 1995. With it’s blend of Tamla Motown, Northern Soul, sixties beat & smatterings of raw funk and disco, it became one of the UK’s longest running weekly clubnights, establishing itself amongst many music fans looking for an alternative to the house/electro/dubstep/baseline sounds that dominanted many of the other city’s venues. Now 30 years to the week since it began, it returns for a very special anniversary party!

Expect to hear the sounds of Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Jackie Wilson alongside the rarer soul sounds from the Northern scene.
