💥 FUNCTION 16 - SPEED GARAGE SPECIAL 💥

It's been a long time coming.. We've always wanted to do a Speed Garage special, (mainly half of F16 - A-Bee has). With such a resurgence within Bassline, Garage, 4x4, it only seems right to give everyone in the city a night of music that influenced so many of these genres and tracks that we listen to today. Classics like Double 99 - Ripgroove, DJ Bigga G - Mind Body and Soul + many more getting played in the rave today, it's time to dedicate a night in the South West to it.

Being played mainly in Sheffield and really reaching it's height when the Niche nightclub was around, our headliners are of course from the Steel City where this genre can most likely call it it's home. We wanted to bring you someone from the Old Skool, someone who made tracks that everybody at Niche loved and somebody that used to find herself raving in Niche Sheffield all the time. We also wanted to bring you someone from the New Skool, who has taken those older influences and put a modern day fast paced, 4x4 roll into it. Behold...

From the city of Sheffield and one of the biggest producers in the Speed Garage game. This lovely lass has had multiple releases on the Reflective Records label which has been a key label for pushing Bassline and Speed Garage over the years. She used to be a regular attendee at the Niche nights back in the day, and knows how to beautifully compose a Speed Garage track or for that matter DJ set with her eyes closed. Perfect basses, perfect tempo and beautiful organs.. Make sure you CHECK HER OUT!

⚡️ Sekt-87⚡️

From the New Skool, but still to this day one of few producers still making Speed Garage influenced beats. A slight twist on the original sound and composition of the genre, however still very true to the grubby core of the rolling basslines and the superbly crafted 4x4 drums with the crispest Hi-Hats and Snares you could ever hear. He's had releases on some fantastic Bassline labels - Chip Butty Records, Project Allout Records, SWB Records to name a few..

⚡️ Mirrim B2B A-Bee ⚡️

These two share a great passion for smooth Garage House and up beat Speed Garage beats. Their first time on a B2B together, their artillery will 100% compliment each other well.
