DRIFT: Jordy, Soluna & Alright (Okay) [solo]

Liverpool art & music collective Dead Animals present their new event, DRIFT; A laid back night showcasing the North West's most blissful rnb, soul-soothing indie, and heartfelt folk music.

Featuring...

Jordy

“Born and raised in Hawaii but moved to Liverpool nearly 2 years ago, I’ve grown up listening to a spectrum of genres so pull inspiration from many such as rock, folk, jazz/blues/soul and indie to form my sound. I aim to make people feel as much as possible - the good, the bad, and all the in between - and I like to think of my lyricism as offering a glimpse of the world through the eyes of introspect, retrospect, and what we don’t expect.”

Soluna

“I am a songwriter, singer, producer, and guitarist born and raised in Norway. The last three years I have been in Liverpool studying song writing while creating my sound as an artist.
I view myself as an atmospheric music creator who writes melodic guitar-based songs incorporated with synths and layered vocals. My sound is along the lines of dreampop and indie- electronic bands like Jadu Heart, Beach House and Melody’s Echo Chamber with a touch of Scandi melancholy. Live I am mostly accompanied by my band consisting of 5 great musicians who I also collaborate with on the arrangements.”

Alex

Singer of local band alright (okay), Alex Usher is a singer/songwriter that will be playing a stripped back set of unheard material.
Mixing sounds of folk with elements of alternative rock, Alex tells personal stories with his words.
His songs are inspired by the likes of Wilco, Car Seat Headrest, Bon Iver and Big Thief.

One more act TBA
