The Black Country’s semi-famous daughter and only full time stand-up comic, Susan Murray brings her   blistering new satire show to the Coventry Comedy Festival. A stalwart of the live UK circuit Susan was main tour support for runner up of Britain’s Got Talent 2017; Daliso Chaponda.

A professional of the comedy circuit, Susan won the first ever Jongleurs new act competition and has  contributed to an array of Radio 4 comedy: The Now Show, News Quiz, Newsjack and The Show What You Wrote, Jeremy Hardy Speaks To The Nation and was a guest on Stephen K Amos’ Idiots Guide .

She is the only woman to MC decompression gigs for the British Army. Not only that Susan is a published author and wrote the chapter on comedy in the bestselling cult book Counter Culture UK; A Celebration.

A stalwart of the live UK circuit Susan was main tour support for runner up of Britain’s Got Talent 2017; Daliso Chaponda who paved the way for other stand ups to invade that show.

Susan has already successfully performed four solo shows Edinburgh Festival and in 2018 co-hosted a monthly show called “You Have Been Warned with Ninia and Susan” on East London Radio.

Susan also runs her own successful comedy club, The Red Imp, Walthamstow, London, which regularly showcases news material by some of the most successful and instantly recognizable comedians in the UK.

For 10 days the city will play host to comedians and acts across multiple Coventry city centre venues. The festival will welcome internationally renowned comedians and performers who will bring a variety of comedy shows to Coventry, to perform alongside local talent.
