JANE TAYLOR | BOBIKS, Newcastle Upon Tyne

'Fabulous! ' - Tom Robinson BBC 6 Music

‘Beautiful! There is something very special about Jane Taylor’ - Johnnie Walker BBC Radio 2

‘Just gorgeous. I am loving this session!’ – Bob Harris, BBC Radio 2

Award winning songwriter Jane Taylor & the JT Band are out celebrating the release of their BRAND NEW ALBUM 'All The Colours' (Out Sep 2022)

The album was recorded with Mercury nominated producer Colin Elliot (famous for his work with Richard Hawley, Kylie Minogue, Paul Weller and Jarvis Cocker).

She will be Joined by Rob Bray (percussion), John Holmes (double bass) and Lizz Lipscombe (violin). The camaraderie and the musical interplay between this band is a thing of beauty as is their versatility in creating and arranging strong songs that move from soul to jazz to folk, blues and gospel. Jane Taylor is a captivating live performer, accomplished songwriter and a singer with a voice that will draw you in from the get-go. She grew her fan base here in Bristol, who then helped her reach BBC Radio 2 by phoning in e mailing the Drive Time Show, flooding them with calls for more! That led her to being invited in for her first live session. She has since been invited back several times. Bob Harris is her most recent champion.

'All The Colours' is Jane's third studio album. Her debut album, 'Montpelier', was released under her own label 'Bicycle Records' and garnered high praise from the music press which delivered her a distribution deal, an opening for Jools Holland, Paolo Nutini and The Blue Nile and some 10,000 album sales. For an Independent artist this was virtually unheard of. Her second album 'Compass', also produced by Elliot, featured the Richard Hawley Band, a gospel choir and the Grimethorpe Colliery Band and won 'Best Album' at the Independent Music Awards.
