The Real Value of Women in Business

#squadgoals #girlboss #pramstarters #mumpreneurs #girlpower….

Instead of all the trending hashtags, isn’t it time we discussed the real value of women in business?

XYZ Events in partnership with Natwest and Tech North Advocates is holding a provocative panel discussion and networking event which will let you lean in, listen in, collaborate and discuss the positive impact that women have in the workplace, with a specific focus on traditionally male-dominated industries like technology and enterprise.

The event will be hosted by Rebecca Taylor, Women in Leadership Ambassador & Global Head of HR for ResponseTap who will also tell her fascinating story and take on the impact of women in business, plus inspirational panellists including:

Coral Grainger, Managing Director, Capital Relations & New Digital Futures

Madhuban Kumar, CEO, Metafused

Professor Lynn Martin, Director for the Centre for Enterprise, MMU

Katy Winterborn, Senior Security Consultant, NCC Group

Vaqas Farooq, Partner, Shoosmiths LLP

The event is delivered in partnership with Tech North Advocates, a private sector led coalition of expert individuals from the tech sector and broader community who will be committed to championing the North of England’s potential as a world-class hub for tech and digital businesses.

Rebecca Taylor: With an HR career that stretches back to the late 1990’s, Rebecca Taylor’s not only an experienced HR professional, she’s a forward-thinker, and a strategist. As Head of HR for ResponseTap Rebecca drives forward people solutions for the business. Talent and performance management, and continuous employee development and engagement are just a few of her specialist areas. But to make a real difference, Rebecca uses her finely honed skills to build relationships with people. That way, she can quickly get to the heart of the business, and design meaningful, long-term people solutions that work. Despite having HR credentials that span almost two decades, Rebecca is also a young mum. She couples her busy day job along with her role as an Ambassador for Women in Tech, and Women in Leadership. And if that’s not enough, she’s also a founding member of the Women in Technology Northern Chapter for Microsoft and TechMumsKnect. Rebecca has also been recently shortlisted by Forward Ladies for the Rising Star award.
