Maker’s A to Z of Commissioning Award-winning Video Content

A productive, interactive and fun session hosted by Thea Burrows (MD) and Luke Toyne (Executive Producer) from Maker- Bronze winners at last year’s Cannes and Clio awards.

The session will cover the dos and don’ts of turning your video briefs into brilliant films with tangible results and help remove the uncertainty when commissioning film content.

Thea and Luke will kick off the session sharing what they’ve learned about how to ensure a smooth production process and make video content that has real impact, including:

-       When the right time to use video is

-       The different kinds of video and matching these to your objectives

-       Setting a strong brief

-       Getting more bang for your buck

-       How to make your video content cinematic to help it stand out

Maker will be joined by three esteemed panellists to delve even further with expert input about commissioning and production followed by a Q & A and a drink or two.

Thea runs Maker, a creative production company that tells brands’ stories using the power of film. She has a natural flair for helping brands engage with audiences in a way that respects and moves them. Luke came on board in 2015 for Maker’s expansion into London, bringing 18 years’ experience as a live action, post-production, VFX and CGI producer for brand films and TV ads. An engaging speaker, Luke will bring some fun to proceedings while sharing what he’s learned over nearly two decades at the frontline of video production.
