New Music. New Sounds. New Wave Festival
New Sounds, New Artists, New Wave Under The Influence presents NEW WAVE, a brand new one-day music festival of the UK’s most exciting rising acts. “We wanted to build something that felt fresh, forward-thinking, and fan-focused,” said Dean Shakespeare, founder of NEW WAVE. “Every artist on this bill is on the cusp of something big — and this is your chance to say you saw them first.” Headlining are Manchester indie-rock heroes The Covasettes, whose infectious energy, festival-ready choruses, and a slew of acclaimed singles have earned them a devoted fan base and sold-out shows across the country. Brogeal, O'Phantom, Keyside, Florentenes, The North, Wkkhouse and Vincent's Last Summer join the bill. Early Bird tickets are SOLD OUT with First Wave tickets on sale now.... Sunday 28th September, Social, Hull.

Peter Perrett heads to Hull
Singer-songwriter and former The Only Ones frontman, Peter Perrett, joins us in Hull at Social on Tuesday 7th October. As the leader of The Only Ones in the late '70s, he was one of the new wave's most enigmatic cult figures, his songs combined a razor-sharp sense of melody and a dark, sardonic wit, making him one of the more unique voices of the era. His solo albums reflect on the years that have passed since, with his uniquely narcotic and alluring melodies, gorgeous South London drawl, and ravishing rock dynamic now allied to a wider span of musical arrangements and lyrical concerns. Tickets on sale now.
