The Black Cap is a historic pub and LGBTQ+ landmark on Camden High Street in London. Dating back to the 18th century, it became one of the city’s most celebrated gay venues from the 1960s onward, earning a reputation for its legendary drag cabaret performances and vibrant community atmosphere. After closing in 2015, the venue became the focus of a long-running campaign to preserve its cultural heritage and reopened in 2026, continuing its legacy as a cornerstone of London’s queer nightlife.
