London's Sykoya are making a lasting impression both recorded and live with their timeless mixture of indie electronic and dream-pop tracks. The haunting vocals of front woman, Anna Marcella sit perfectly atop her melodic synth production and the deep, engaging rhythm section of drummer, Curtis ElVidge and bassist, Joe Cross, making a sound well beyond the trio’s size. Drawing comparisons to Lana Del Rey, Goldfrapp and The XX, their sound ebbs and flows seamlessly from light to dark, catching listeners between wanting to dance and sit in soft reflection.

The band has been busy working on their first full-length album, of which their newly released single ‘Lost Again’ is a part. Building off the success of their first single ‘Closer’, which was officially selected at the Toronto Art House Film Festival and the Berlin MVA awards for their accompanying video, the band joined up with the same director for their newly released music video for ‘Lost Again’ and have plans for more videos soon. The upcoming album promises to deliver a combination of ambient dreamscapes mixed in with dynamic, catchy electro-pop tracks. The band are already making waves as they have been debuting the tracks live in London since autumn. Expect a few catchy single releases in the coming months as Sykoya builds excitement for their album release in the new year.
