August goes out with a bang with the fantastic Si Cranstoun making a very welcome return to the venue after a truly memorable performance last year. The next day and the last day of the month sees the legendary Gary Crowley bringing his roadshow to The Suburbs for the first time and we can't wait to welcome him. Once again there's something for everyone this month with Undercover events bringing some legendary bands to Guildford. Not only are they putting on Theatre of Hate, fronted by punk icon Kirk Brandon, but they're also showcasing The Skids. Known for a number of hits and great album tracks The Skids will be performing to a sold out Suburbs, as they do wherever they play. Undercover also will be hosting one of their famous punk roasts on the 29th, see their Facebook page for details, a Sunday roast and five bands, what more could you ask for. July at The Suburbs is going out with a bang with not just one BBQ this weekend, but one on Saturday and one on Sunday. On Saturday we have the fabulous Vapors returning to the venue and they will be supported by Darron Robertson who is creating a bit of a storm on the circuit with his new band. Included in the price is a free BBQ, what more do you need. On Sunday, Undercover Events are hosting another BBQ with three great bands performing, normally they would be doing a punk and roast event, but it's too hot for that, so we'll be in the garden. Tonight, Friday, we have our regular Northern Soul night which is just turn up and pay a fiver on the door, great value. The full list of events are below, including details of how to get tickets. Summer is here and we've got a lot going on, plenty of DJ's in the garden and BBQ's. The ever popular Vapors return for an afternoon gig so as we can all soak up that summer sun. Always guaranteed to go down a storm at the Holroyd, we look forward to welcoming them back. There a a few afternoon parties going on so don't forget to keep checking the website and Facebook pages for updates as we go through the month.

As well as all the fantastic music nights we have ahead in June, we have a brand new space opened at The Holroyd to add to your entertainment. The Hub has arrived and it is our new space for all kinds of games for you to enjoy. After an extensive refurb the lodge in the garden has been transformed into an area where you can play all manner of games and enjoy some healthy competition with friends. In the hub you will find traditional pub activities such as darts and pool plus a range of retro arcade games including Pac Man, Space Invaders, Donkey Kong and many many more. It's the arcade that keeps on giving as we also have table football, shuffle board, air hockey, a pinball machine and a PS5. Added to this are a self select music system and large screens to watch sporting events. There is a bar, as you would expect and the opportunity for family events. After an amazing April which saw the launch of our new regular Northern Soul night featuring top DJ's and sold out live shows, we look forward to May.
