From playing their first-ever live show with Scruff of the Neck, Bayboards have gone on to sell out iconic venues such as the Deaf Institute and Band on the Wall in Manchester, The Grace in London, The Cluny in Newcastle and many many more, alongside memorable festival appearances at Y Not, CloseUp Festival and our very own Year’s End Festival. Scruff of the Neck is an established Manchester (UK) record label, music publisher, concert & festival promoter, and creative company that is passionate about working with the best artists to develop their music from a hobby to a career. In 2019, our Records division won ‘Best Small Label’ at the AIM Awards, which led to us signing a global masters distribution deal with Believe and publishing admin with Sony, both mid-pandemic. Scruff of the Neck now have a fast-evolving international set-up with head office in Manchester, signing and distributing the most exciting new acts across the UK and promoting a multitude more on Live. The pioneering content partnership with Twitch enables Scruff of the Neck to broadcast a ‘TV’ music showcase series every week with over 14 million unique viewers to date and an innovative ‘hybrid’ stream at Y Not? Festival 2022 which amassed 1.1 million viewers alone.
