REDCHECKS are a Welsh band based in Manchester, blending raw, abrasive garage rock with a fearless energy that turns every gig into a party. Inspired by The Strokes, Nirvana, and Manic Street Preachers, they’ve carved a name for themselves with a sound that's as punchy as their lyrics-tackling social realities with both grit and wit.
Their debut release, a demo of 'Matchbox' earned BBC Introducing Track of the Week, launching them into the Glastonbury Pilton Stage finals and onto stages like The Fleece Bristol, Clwb lfor Bach Cardiff, and New Century Hall Manchester, where they've played alongside The Futureheads, Delights, and Pacifica (Argentina).
Frontman Tomi Edwards, guitarists Rhys Miller and Ben Turner, bassist Shaun Roberts, and drummer Bryn Richards aren't just bandmates-they're mates first, born from rugby clubs and late-night Swansea City chants. Their upcoming project produced by Joe Cross (Courteeners, Hurts, Louis Tomlinson) pushes rock forward with an abrasive yet infectious sound, proving that while nostalgia is fun, the future is theirs for the taking.
