Our city of steel has officially been long-listed to become the UK's City of Culture in 2029. Sheffield is one of nine places across the UK to be longlisted. Each area will now receive £60,000 to develop a full bid. To make this bid as strong as we possibly can, the council are undertaking extensive consultation and surveys RIGHT NOW! Ey up Crew! We don't know about you, but we are buzzing that Spring appears to finally be rearing its head. To mark the start of the season and to put a spring back into your step, we're hosting a stonking lineup of events here over the next few weeks. Kicking off THIS WEEKEND, it's the return of Bangers + Bootlegs, with a very special guest DJ in the form of internationally-renowned Yung Singh taking helm with an extended 2 hour set that we expect to effortlessly weave through all kinds of vibes. He's joined by some of the steel city's finest selectas in the world of bass music, including bassline dons Dr Cryptic and Deadbeat UK on a special B2B, as well as Kyla C and Hungry Lungz. Thanks to everybody who joined us for our first weekend of 2026. It was amazing to blow the cobwebs off with a weekend of diverse electronic music from across the spectrum of the underground.
