The Mexica or the Mexicas were an indigenous people of the valley of Mexico known today as the rulers of the Aztec empire.

Mexica has opened its doors two weeks ago in Ancoats at 39 Blossom Street and is serving food midday Tuesday to Sunday untill 9pm. As a licensed restaurant/bar it would be rude not to be selling a wide range of beers, mezcals, tequila and cocktails.

Creating simple dishes with the best ingredients from local producers and Mexican imports Mexica caters for all diners. The hearty meat eater will see a break from the norm with ox cheek being featured on the menu and for the non meat eaters there are vegetarian and vegan options available.
