The story behind Huzzah!! Singles...
Hi, I'm Hazel, the founder of Huzzah!! Singles.
I’m a mum in my mid-40s who became single at the end of 2025 (Boxing Day, to be exact – and yep, it sucked).
Thirteen years after Tinder was launched, I found myself back in the dating world, and I didn’t like what I saw. Decent men and women, with so much to give, were having bad experience after bad experience on dating apps. Social media was fuelling skewed, stereotypical views of the sexes. Loneliness and disconnection were at all-time highs. In short, things were broken, and we needed an alternative.
Being single is a time for self-reflection. An opportunity to get to know yourself better, to understand why you behave the way you do, and what you need to do to support yourself moving forward.
It’s a time for personal growth, to overcome the burdens that have been holding you back, challenge your limiting beliefs, and try new things.
And it’s a time rich with possibilities; you have the power to choose your next step and shape your own story.

Right now, our events are local to me, but my vision is bigger. I want to see Huzzah!! in towns and cities across the UK. Because we all need - and deserve - a little more joy in our lives.
