HARD Magazine is not simply a tri-annually printed student magazine, it’s a material and digital platform for the art-interested and culturally-buzzing creative community at the University of York.

Founded in 2012, from the first edition of HARD magazine (known simply as ‘HARD’) until the present, our dedicated team of editors and writers continually strive to bring readers the exciting and the new from York and beyond. Whether it’s cycling out to desolate industrial estates for private viewings of York’s newest artistic talent, hopping it to the next big thing at fashion week or provoking our peers through directive photoshoots, HARD is for the inquisitive reader who demands to be challenged.
