Footwork started purely because the founders didn't feel they had anywhere suitable to go for a bit of carnage. It's not a commercial venture; we're not making any money. We're doing it because someone had to!

Milton Keynes is our home and we're proud of it no matter what anyone thinks. Those that cuss the scene do it disrespect. That said we've got our issues with venues and the Council around here - but it's all the sweeter when things get pulled off.

Our style is fun foremost; credibility second. We are a house night and we leave the DJs to interpret that, so you'll hear variance and experiments - anything from old school up to the cutting edge bass tracks. We are a rave, not a nightclub. Trainers, sweat and smiles is in. Fakery, peacocking and pruning is out.

Want to play at Footwork? You're very welcome, and we're proud to have a huge roster of great local DJs who have played for us - some of whom had their first ever gigs at our events. All we ask is:
(1) You're sound and get what we are about
(3) You actually come to the events and say hello
(2) Send us a mix

Over time we've collected bits of toys and kit, and as our crew has extended we have access to any type of gear you could conceive - enough to run our events from scratch wherever we end up, If you'd like to hook up or want to hire in support of your own events, do ask - we're always game.

We respect any humble promoter, DJ, band, artist, producer, venue, general dogsbody or dedicated raver who has worked to put stuff on in MK and supported their local scene - it's small, but it's ours!
