There are few eateries, or indeed watering holes, locally that can boast phenomenal settings, award-winning food and five-star service while remaining inclusive, convivial and family friendly.

The new Dudsbury Country Club, which is set in a historic 5 acres of glorious Dorset woodlands is set to change all that. Our philosophy is to deliver gimmick-free, award-winning, affordable food; menus will reflect the seasons and all ingredients will be fresh and locally sourced from carefully selected local green grocers, butchers and fishermen. Our highly trained chefs will then create dishes from the traditional through to the more avant-garde.

Of course, The Dudsbury Country Club is so much more than just a phenomenal restaurant; we also boast a country pub where a comprehensive array of beverages and home-made snacks will be served. If you’re a morning person you may want to pop in and relax with breakfast and the morning’s newspapers on the weekends. Alternatively, you may want to kickback on our outdoor lounge deck and enjoy your beer, wine, cocktail or Dorset cream-tea alfresco.

We feel very strongly that the sheer beauty and scale of our surroundings should be fully utilised. With this in mind the Dudsbury Country Club will host a varied and full entertainment and activity package both inside and out and throughout the whole year.

You are encouraged to relax in our south-facing woodland garden or try a spot of fishing in our own stretch of the River Stour. We can, of course, provide a picnic for you should you decide to make a day of it. Our grounds also house riding stables that offer a variety of equestrian based packages for all ages. We are both horse and dog friendly!

If you want to simply enjoy the rich history of our surroundings then you can marvel at the Iron Age hill fort that lies aside us, and forms part of the ‘Dudsbury Rings’, mentioned in the Doomsday Book, or you can undertake the 5-mile heritage walk that is on our doorstep. Similarly, there are some fantastic cycle routes if you prefer two wheels. If taking to the sky is more your thing we can offer scenic pleasure flights round the surrounding area and Old Harry Rocks; a perfect way to mark any special occasion.

Children have their own enclosed, outdoor woodland play area and young and old alike can enjoy getting competitive with our giant board games in the garden. Internationally acclaimed groups and DJs, gastronomic events, arts and crafts fairs will ensure that even the young and beautiful are kept suitably absorbed. If that little lot all sounds a little too vigorous, maybe a gentle game of croquet on our lawns is more your style? Ask us nicely and we may even rustle up some cucumber sandwiches for you!
