Doppler Studio is an independent, grassroots club and creative space in the heart of Leicester, built around underground music, intimate parties and the people pushing culture forward.

Hidden away above Leicester High Street, Doppler is deliberately small. Around 100 people, a serious soundsystem and very little distance between the DJ and the dancefloor. We believe some of the best club experiences happen when you strip everything else away and put the focus back where it belongs - on the music.

Our programme moves across the underground rather than sitting inside one genre. Expect UK garage, jungle, drum & bass, dubstep, UK funky, techno, hardgroove, house, breaks, Jersey club, footwork, trance, hard house and plenty in between.

Some nights are about bringing established underground artists into an unusually intimate room. Others hand the controls to emerging DJs, Leicester selectors, independent promoters and crews we believe in. Often, it’s both.

Doppler isn't interested in VIP culture or filling a room for the sake of filling it. We're interested in good selectors, interesting programming, grassroots scenes and creating a space where people can properly connect with music.

Our no-phones-on-the-dancefloor policy helps protect that. Be in the room. Dance. Meet people. Hear something you haven't heard before. The moment doesn't need to become content to matter.

Alongside our club programme, Doppler is home to Doppler Radio, giving DJs a platform to experiment, play freely and share their sound, while helping document and amplify underground music culture in Leicester and beyond.
