Bowery District

Situated on Friar Street, the venue has gone from strength to strength! Some of you may remember us as old school Bar Risa, with Jongleurs upstairs. The more recent of you as Rewind, a 70's 80's & 90's a haven to Stag & Hen Partys, with Jongleurs (back after popular demand!) comedy club selling out fantastic shows every weekend, and finally Sub89, bringing you the biggest live acts and club nights.

You guys flock to us every Saturday in your masses, creating the best big night out in Reading over two floors every weekend! We decided it was only fair to treat you, as you guys are the reason we are still the first choice for nights out, so on September 15th 2013, Rewind closed its doors for the last time. In came the builders and redecorators, and only 5 days later, we created The Bowery District.

We are pleased to announce that starting early 2014 the team behind Sub89 will also be booking and promoting live events downstairs in our sister venue The Bowery District! The venue will be operating at 300 capacity and is also able to accommodate 14+ shows.
