Since late 2011, Antics has been showcasing the best new bands that most of your family would probably hate. It all started at The Ferret in Preston and now it’s making waves here at Night & Day Café instead. Manchester, consider yourselves lucky.

If three of the best new bands about isn’t enough for punters, after they’ve finished, the night goes from showcase to party as The Ark Preston DJ’s take the helm. Tunes are thrown into the crowd from The Beatles through to Jaguar Ma, Soulwax to The Smiths and everything incredible in between. Tomorrow’s best songs are mixed in with yesterday’s finest too. Whatever word you and your mates use to describe what happens to you all on an evening, that’s what happens here. You know that thing you do where you send texts and then hate yourself in the morning? That won’t happen here, you’ll be too busy enjoying yourself.
