Founded in Manchester in 2001 with a mission to give fresh up and coming talent the chance to play alongside world renowned and respected artists while also giving something back to various charitable causes including Cancer Research, Shelter, War Child and the NSPC.

Airtight quickly gained nationwide attention from press and artists alike going on to take a 7 year residency at the seminal Sankeys Soap (flagship venue for the now global 'Sankeys' clubbing franchise) with a mantra to bring first class forward thinking Djs and producers from all over the world to one of the planets most competitive club scenes. Original residents drafted on rotation included renowned globetrotting trailblazers Adam Freeland, Plump DJs, Stanton Warriors & Iain rEJEKT propping up a roster of regular guests including Sahsa, James Lavelle, MANDY, Bushwacka, James Zabeila, Nic Faniculli, Way Out West, Bookashade, Sebo K, Anja Schneider, DJ Kentaro offering up a bass heavy, crisp and clinical sound with a firm emphasis on quality and substance ahead of hype and quantity.

During the Noughties Airtight hosted events with respected party promoters Tribal Gathering, Fabric London, The Warehouse Project, Big Beat Boutique, Chibuku Shake Shake Liverpool, Stealth Nottingham and enjoyed a 12 year residency with the Glade Stage at Glastonbury Festival in the UK while touching down in Dublin, Amsterdam, Paris, Sydney, Melbourne, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Paris, Helsinki, Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Taipei, Bangkok, Jakarta, Quito (Ecuador) alongside many smaller but equally interesting towns and cities worldwide.

In 2007 new projects were formed and Airtight would be put on the shelve pending future developments. Now it would seem that the stars have once again alligned in the once might club nights favour and after a small run of dates at Move in Exeter (formerly Cellar Door) and Factory in Plymouth a new home has been found at the stylish Crash Manor, one of Plymouths premier venues boasting a first class sound system, warm and friendly door and bar staff and stacked with quality beers, wines and spirits from around the word.

Upcoming guests include Mr C, Bushwacka, James Lavelle, Stanton Warriors + more with talks in the pipeline to bring the likes of Terry Francis, Danny Howells, Robert James, Richy Ahmed and the like to Britain's ocean city.
