Love in the city | Special public talk with Gen Kelsang Sangden | Thursday 29th May 7-8:15pm
A special public talk and meditation at the Friends Meeting House in Central Manchester, M2 5NS
Swept up by the uncontrolled pace of modern urban life? Feeling anxious and confused? Powerless? Less certain? Left behind? You are not alone!
Life in 2025 certainly feels more harsh and unforgiving. We can’t turn back the clock- but can respond more effectively to our situation. We can become more resilient and confident. Lead a more positive happy life and improve our human nature, regardless of the whirlwind.
How? Through the transformative power of Buddhist meditation we can become our own agents of change. Even as the world around us fragments, we can build a more cohesive inner life, and put ourselves back in the driving seat of our own lives. To guide us through the mental maze of urban life we welcome Gen Kelsang Sangden, a Buddhist nun who will explain what love actually means and how its protective power can make a real difference in our own lives and the lives of those we care about. We can learn to be a better friend to ourselves and others, and with love we can re-imagine our own city.
