Clean Cuts Presents: Eyez, 808ink, SonnyJim, Illiterate+NuphZed

Clean Cuts Productions are very proud to announce a first of many UK based events. We will be starting things off in Patterns - Brighton with: Clean Cuts Presents: Eyez, 808ink, Sonnyjim and Yogocop Records Showcase. This line up really shows the alternative styles to UK Hip-Hop and Grime and talent from all round the UK. Read below to find out more.

808ink: This Noisey quote will give you a brief description of the genius of the duo, they “aren’t grime, they don't make stereotypical UK Hip-Hop, and they don't sound American. But they are the most exciting rap crew to emerge from Britain in some time.” 808ink continue to breakdown the conventions of Hip-Hop and Grime, this pair have a truly unique sound. Their most recent album ‘Hungry’ has seen them working with artists such as; Sam Wise, Daniel OG, Kahlia Bakosi and Ideh. We expect very big things from these guys.

Eyez: “Eyez is the fast-rising grime MC from the little city in the Midlands who’s rapidly making 2017 his own. When grime first broke out last decade, it was very much a London thing. Over the last few years, though, the sound has blossomed outside of the capital, and Eyez is one of the MCs giving the genre a distinct regional voice.” – Red Bull.

Sonnyjim: Sonnyjim is a UK Hip-Hop artist/producer and part owner of record label ‘Eat Good Records’. Sonnyjim has had an incredible career and impact on the UK scene. Working with artists such as; Foreign Beggars, Leaf Dog, Jehst & many more. Projects such as his ‘Purple Patch’ instalments, ‘How To Tame Lions’, ‘The Psychonaut’ and his latest release ‘Mud in My Malbec’ have solidified Sonnyjim as one of UK Hip-Hop’s greats.

YogoCop:This Brighton based label originally started out with just four artist; Benaddict, M.KOZI, Concept Of Thought & Cloud 9 but has since expanded and is currently working with artists NuphZed, Hank Hiller, Wun Drop, Mr Slipz, Bo Bribery, Harvs & KLB, Terry Tonks & Tom Yum. Collectively they have supported artists such as Talib Kwali, Immortal Technique, Onyx, People Under The Stairs, Sugarhill Gang & Dead Prez as well as most UK legends. From Berlin to Barcelona to sweaty UK festival tents, the YGC team are ready to get your heads bouncing.
