Absolute Banker! Launch

University of Bath Management Society and students, as well as professionals across the country have partnered to create an exciting new student magazine, called "Absolute Banker!", an anti-establishment satirical paper offering REAL experience, gossip and career tips about the great mystery which is FINANCE - from the Bank of England to bulge bracket banks in Canary Wharf! 

Read about the TRUTH behind internships, trading floor antics and the inside scoop on what traders really think of posh graduates on their floors - as well as the gossip on what politicians really get up to outside the Houses of Parliament!

Absolute Banker! will be launching on the 17th of April 2018, at the Canon in Bath, where we will be having the event in conjunction with one of the UK's leading think-tanks, the Institute of Economic Affairs, and are thrilled to announce our Headline speaker...

Dr. Jamie Whyte is a former currency trader, consultant, philosophy lecturer at the University of Cambridge and a renowned author, having written for publications we all know and love, including The Wall Street Journal, City A.M., The Times and Financial Times. Therefore, he jumped at the chance to launch such an unusual magazine.Whyte has also broadcast across BBC Radio 4 and television, including debates lead by the London School of Economics.We are absolutely thrilled to announce his presence as our guest speaker, and hope that as our fellow students, you will find his experiences in both trading and financial journalism insightful.
