Inside The Mind of Elliott Smith

To posthumously celebrate the 50th birthday of cult guitarist Elliott Smith, contemporary folk ensemble Tell Tale Tusk will celebrates the music from across his rich and varied discography.

A multi instrumentalist and songwriting genius, Smith was inspired by everything from Chet Baker and Bob Dylan to flamenco and Motown. His six studio albums released between 1994 and 2004 (Roman Candle(1994), Elliott Smith(1995), Either/Or (1997), XO (1998), Figure 8 (2000), From a Basement on the Hill (2004)) each became cult classics in their own right.

Earning an Academy award nomination for his song 'Miss Misery', the gentle beauty found in Smith's music was tempered by the feelings of despair and self-doubt that stemmed from his troubled personal life.
