Are you peri-menopausal or menopausal or supporting someone in your life who is? Poet Lisa O’Hare invites you to her Rage Replacement Service workshop on Saturday 24 August at Levenshulme Old Library to replace any rage, confusion, exhaustion with the 40 plus recognised symptoms with creativity. She will lead a free workshop for people to find a creative outlet to express the experience of the (peri)menopause through writing, sketching and their own creativity. Bring your own paper, pens, laptops, watercolours, knitting, whatever gets your creativity flowing, and we can replace our rage, in a safe place together.
Lisa is a poet experiencing peri-menopause, and is not an expert in the menopause. She started writing in her early 40s and has since performed at GM Fringe, Edinburgh Fringe, Factory International and the BBC Contains Strong Language Festival as a 2023 BBC Words First Finalist. She is currently a co-host of Manchester spoken word night Verbose.
If you wish to make a donation for the event this would go directly to fund the brilliant work of Levenshulme Old Library.
