ICL Trip to Margam Country Park

International@CampusLife welcomes you to join us on our Trip to Margam Country Park!

Date: Saturday 17th August 2019

Time: Departing Fulton House at 10am with a pick up at Bay Campus (Tesco Express) at 10.20am. The journey will take approximately 40 mins and will return from Margam at 4:00pm. The driver will confirm the departure meeting point on the day.

Description: Set in 1000 acres of glorious parkland, Margam Country Park offers beauty, history, wildlife and a wide range of family attractions! Enjoy a leisurely ride on the narrow gauge railway taking in sights of the woodland, castle and farm trail, or for the more adventurous type, fly down zip wires and leap off Tarzan Swings whilst taking in the breath-taking scenery. There’s a Fairytale Land and Adventure Playground for the younger guests and visits to the Castle and the Orangery are a must for any history buffs.

Note: All students and families with children are welcome on the trip but children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Children under the age of 2 cannot sit on their own seat on the coach so must sit on an adults lap to travel - one child per adult. Children aged 3 and over must have a seat so a ticket will need to be purchased. Please be advised that their safety and well-being is the responsibility of their accompanying adult. The coach is able to store buggies in the hold but ICL and Cymru Coaches take no responsibility for any damage during transit. The coach company advises that you place them in a bag, as the hold can be quite dusty.

Refund policy: refunds for tickets cannot be given after the date of the trip if you fail to attend for any reason. If you require a refund, you must email international.campuslife@swansea.ac.uk before 5.00pm on Thursday 15th August 2019 or the refund may not be issued. Any refunds will not include the booking charge, this will be lost - apologies for any inconvenience caused. 

Data Protection: International@CampusLife will use the information you provide to us for attendance and safety purposes. We will use your data to produce internal statistics but will not share it with third parties or use it for marketing purposes. Your information will be provided to our trip leader on the day of the trip for the purpose of attendance monitoring and emergency situations where they may need to contact you. The information will be kept confidential and passed back to ICL and destroyed on return from the trip. Fatsoma’s policies can be found on their website.

Photos: We will be taking photos throughout the day which we will use to promote future activities in the form of leaflets, social media posts, digital screens and on the website. If you would not like to be included, then please tell us on the day of the trip. If you see yourself in any pictures and would like them to be removed, please email us at international.campuslife@swansea.ac.uk and we will make sure that any photos of you are deleted.
