Justine Paul, Founder of Suffolk Market Events From Market Woes to Market Wins: Unveiling the Entrepreneurial Journey with Suffolk's Market Events

We are delighted to welcome back Justine Paul from Suffolk Market Events.

Justine runs Suffolk Market Events with her husband Alex who deliver award winning Farmers Markets and Craft Markets across the region.

Justine was crowned the 2015 Suffolk Food & Drink Hero at the EADT awards and won the prestigious Clarissa Dickson Wright award in 2019. Suffolk Market Events has previously won the Babergh Award for Business growth and Lavenham Farmers Market was named as the UK’s Best Farmers Market in 2021. Justine has a passion for local food, for supporting local producers and for supporting her community and she has successfully reconnected local people with locally produced food right on their doorstep.

Justine Paul began her professional life as a RGN graduating from St Bartholomew’s Hospital in January 1991. She went on to receive a BA Hons in Human Geography at the University of Westminster in 1995. A move from London to Suffolk in 2008 led to a very different, unplanned, career change when after visiting her local farmers’ market, which was imminently closing, Justine took on the challenge of resurrecting it. This was followed by the relaunch of Sudbury Farmers’ Market in May 2012 and the launch of Bury St Edmunds farmers market in 2016 and Colchester Farmers Market shortly afterwards.

Suffolk Market Events also works with a number of councils on a consultancy basis to help increase footfall into town centres by developing thriving town centre markets. These successful projects are currently running in Hadleigh, Halesworth and Maldon.

In 2017 Justine took over the ownership and running of The Taste of Sudbury Food & Drink Festival which has recently been rebranded to become The Taste of East Anglia Community Interest Company, reflecting the growth and expansion of this annual event.

She is a Fellow of the School of Social Entrepreneurs.

Justine's journey is a really interesting. She'll be sharing her best tips that have helped her business grow.

One tip for now though: Stick to your gut instinct. Believe in what you truly know and never let anyone trample on your dreams

This is a great opportunity to listen to one of area's most successful and award-winning entrepreneurs, join us at this inspiring seminar.

There will be a Q&A session at the end
