Katsuhiro Otomo's visionary masterpiece Akira is set in Neo-Tokyo, where teenage motorcycle gang members Tetsuo and Kaneda stumble upon a secret government experiment to unlock the telekinetic powers of ordinary humans - but with explosive results.--
