Nina Kraviz returns to WHP to curate a deft and deep showcase of the
finest underground techno, old and new. Long recognised as the DJ's DJ,
Jeff Mills has spent decades representing the pure techno sound of his
native Detroit, and has also been known to turn his hand to classical
composition and sprawling electronica. Tonight at трип he’s giving a
rare live performance, drawing together all elements of his sound, from
his cerebral, cosmic obsessed dronescapes to banging peak time techno. A
legend in action. He’s joined by another veteran in the form of Clark,
who is presenting selections from this year’s raved-up album Death Peak –
a record that has already made it onto numerous ‘album of the year’
lists. Nina herself is no slouch in the skills department, her трип
nights and accompanying label quickly becoming a by-word for quality
music – she’ll be headlining with a typically deep, looping set of
underground machine funk.
