Hi all
Please join us for the Snowdon walk via Llanberris path. It is the easiest way to join Snowdon so no special skills are required! More details below:
Distance: 4½ miles (7¼ km) to the summit one way
9 miles (14½ km) there and back, if returning on the same path
(This distance is measured from the main road in Llanberis and includes an unavoidable ¾ mile of tarmac approach.)
Time: Allow between 2½ and 4 hours each way, depending on your level of fitness.
It's definitely worth the effort as the views from the summit are breathtaking. The classic view is down in to Cwm Dyli where the lakes of Glaslyn and Llydaw take centre stage with the Pyg Track and Miners Track to the left. However, you are also looking at the ridges and summits of Crib Goch, Crib-y-Ddysgl and Y Lliwedd which make up the iconic Snowdon Horseshoe.
We will of course take some breaks in between for some water and food. Please ensure you wear comfy clothing including hiking shoes and appropriate wear (such as waterproof clothes). On the way back (if the weather permits), we can stop at one of the best beaches in Snowdonia national park!
Even if you're not into hiking, just join us for the sake of making new friends, socializing and relaxing. Good atmosphere guaranteed, as always!
Please message in the Whatsapp if you need transport. It's 5£ to join for help with guiding you through to the summit.
Thanks and hope that many of you will join us!
