MYP Educational - Prince's Trust and MYP Start Something Breakfast Event

We are delighted to announce the launch of a new mentoring opportunity with our charity partner, The Prince's Trust. Following the success of the 3 intakes of MYP Mentoring, our free cross-industry initiative, we wanted to expand our Educational offering by linking up with The Prince's Trust to go one step further as we look to help people in the city.

The Prince’s Trust are committed to providing the skills, support and experience young people need to succeed in life. Their work is possible due to the assistance of brilliant volunteers, who are involved in vital work to help build and maintain young people’s confidence, skills, motivation and wellbeing levels, and encourage them to feel positive about the future.

The volunteers are passionate about dedicating their time to supporting young people to become the very best they can be. Volunteers work with young people from a range of backgrounds, helping them to take their next steps in life.

As a prospective mentor, you will be supported through continuous training and development to equip you with the skills to effectively support young people.

Walking in the shoes of another person and offering non-judgmental support is one of the greatest gifts humans can give to one another. If you have a passion to learn, understand and give guidance, this mentorship programmes provide huge return to all that take part.

During the session we will hear from Jennifer Rose from Alliance Manchester Business School on the importance of mentoring. We will then hear from The Prince's Trust team on the mentoring programmes available to decide which one will suit you the most. There will also be an opportunity to hear from current mentors on the programme to share their experiences.

Tickets will be £5.00, including coffee, tea and a pastry from our friends at Trove. As usual, £1 from each sale will be going directly to The Prince's Trust.

Please let us know if you have any requirements when you are buying your ticket. We look forward to seeing you there!
