We are thrilled to welcome the fabulous Elizabeth Whibley to LJMU!
As part of JMSU Sustainability Week, Elizabeth will be talking about the fashion industry and how the tiniest changes can make a huge difference to your environmental impact. She will create a safe, fun space to cover:
- Being sustainable as a start up business
- Love Not Landfill X Oxfam and the importance of second hand
- Sustainable tips in everyday life
- Exposing fast fashion and unknown truths about fabric production
- Understanding slow fashion
- How to reduce your consumption, giving more thought to your spending
- Useful links and resources
Elizabeth has recently graduated with a First class BA(hons) in Fashion Textile Print at The University for the Creative Arts Rochester, and is currently studying a Fashion Design Masters. A thriving business owner, designer, model (for the likes of Toni & Guy, Tatty Devine and Lazy Oaf), and influencer, Elizabeth constantly shares tips and expresses her passion for taking care of our planet on her Instagram, @elizabethwhibley.
We cannot wait to host her, see you there! The event will start at 2pm in Redmonds' Large Lecture Theatre on the first floor.
