We host fun dating events in the UK, free from any forced fun or weird speed dating, where we match you with groups of compatible single people using our algorithm (taking some logic from dating apps, and stripping out any artificial bullsh*t). 

We’re so excited to be taking over Substation, Brixton’s (SW London!) huge climbing centre, and filling it with single people. And the whole place is ours for the night.

What does your ticket include?

-indoor rock climbing for 2 hours

-group matching using our algorithm

-followed by a social with fun icebreakers

When you arrive from 6pm, you’ll grab a soft drink, meet a few new faces, and after an intro, we’ll get you ready for the climbing session. Using our tech, we’ll match you into small groups with people who you have things in common with to climb together, who are also age appropriate and your sexuality.

No experience is necessary (we promise!), the amazing team at Substation will be there to show you the ropes!

Climbing runs from around 7:30 to 9:30pm, but the night doesn’t stop there. Afterwards, we’ll head into Substation’s café-bar for a proper social. Grab a drink and enjoy the eve! x

We were tired of modern dating options being limited to awkward speed dating events, a busy venue with no match-making facilitation or meeting online.

No swiping.

Absolutely never any awkward speed dating (we’d honestly rather eat a shoe x).

Just a fun people in a great venue in South London, who just so happen to be single.

But don’t worry, we don’t just aimlessly launch you into a room of people and leave you to it like other dating events do...We know that finding who you’re compatible with in a room full of a few hundred people can be like trying to find a needle in a Haystack.

SO - we spent a very long time building an algorithm that can connect groups of people with things in common. We’ll grab a bit more info about you on the next page, then ahead of the event we run our tech, build out table plans and for part of the evening introduce you to a table of people you’ve been “matched” with.

We have an amazing, very subtle team on hand to help facilitate introductions to whoever wants them and we’re a small team who absolutely bloody love what we do.

We’re a sociable bunch and always like to take short video clips for our social media. We’ll always avoid faces wherever possible, but if you’d rather stay 100% off camera please just come and let the team know on the night so we can make a conscious effort to keep you out of any frame!

There’s a huge amount of work behind the scenes before events to get everyone matched into great groups. If you need to transfer your ticket to a friend, we do ask please that you pop us an email with their name 7 days before an event so we can move things around. As with every other events company in our space, we are unable to facilitate refunds but we will always do our 100% best to find a solve!x

Are dating events worth it?

We have worked very hard to make events for single people that don't feel like a typical "dating event" which we know can feel very overwhelming. We just hire out great venues, invest into fun entertainment, and match single people together into groups on the evening so you can go on multiple dates in a low-pressure environment. There are always new dating apps popping up, which all have the same culture of ghosting, shallowness, and let's be honest we can barely keep up with our family's whatsapp chat let alone a dating app.

What are our dating events?

Our events use the power of tech to connect similar single people together. When you arrive to the venue you'll be greeted by our lovely reps, and then you'll be introduced to your matched group. Depending on the event we will introduce you to another one or two rounds of single people, where we match you by differently weighting the parameters of the algorithm. We re-invest profit into fun entertainment on the evening so you have a great night regardless - and host a range of events from relaxed drinks in a beer garden, to something a bit more active like arcade games, to sporty events such as tag rugby or rock climbing. 

How do you match single people?

When you buy a ticket you fill out a short form with some questions about yourself mapped around research we conducted to what leads to meaningful connections. We then run this through our algorithm which is a propietary points based matching system using python to detect similarities between each person based on different parameters. We then spend hours going through each person to make sure there has been no discrepancies in the data and even more hours to make sure the group ages and ratios are appropriate. Afterwards we analyse each table to make sure they are placed near tables we think we will match well, and that are in the best place in the venue based on what we know about the group.
