Alfredo, Steve Proctor, Nancy Noise - The Long Good Friday

How about we gather everyone who created the Balearic beat scene under one roof, taking you on a journey through time? Tonight's DJ's will focus on playing a top music selection, bringing all you ravers a mixture of Balearic classics, brand new Balearic beats and solid House music.

Two legends join forces when Balearic master Alfredo teams up with Steve Proctor. Dubbed the “father of the Balearic beat, Alfredo paved the way for superstar DJs such as Paul Oakenfold, Nicky Holloway, Danny Rampling, Trevor Fung and Johnny Walker with his unique blend of Chicago House, Soul, Funk, Indie and Euro-Pop throughout the 1980s. 

Steve Proctor is one of the small number of DJs who is credited with starting the Balearic/ Acid House Scene, the effects and influence of which are still felt more than twenty five years on. As well as playing regularly in Ibiza, he worked at Shoom as a resident DJ with Danny Rampling. Steve also played at the early Boys Own parties with Andy Wetherall and Terry Farley, The Hacienda with Mike Pickering and numerous parties with Paul Oakenfold and Love at the Wag where Steve was the resident DJ.

Trevor Fung is an old soul boy who was there at the birth of Acid House (you could even argue he was its midwife). An early devotee of Ibiza, he also mentored Paul Oakenfold and countless others.

Nicky Holloway has been at the forefront of dance music’s meteoric rise through the commercial and cultural ranks over the last two and a half decades. His status is legendary, also one of the forces credited with creatig the Balearic scene.
