1-800-Dinosaur are Dan Foat, James Blake, Airhead (aka Blake’s live guitarist, Rob McAndrews), Mr Assister (live drummer Ben Assiter) and Klaus (Nick Sigsworth, who often DJs in support of Blake’s live shows on tour). They started throwing after-show parties together as a way of cutting loose while on the road back in 2010, with the first ever 1-800 night taking place at New York’s Le Poisson Rouge.
These parties are now known all over the world and ee're happy to bring their latest London installment to Brixton Jamm. The night will feature some 1-800's current roster, namely a live performance from Trim, whose debut album on 1-800 is a collaborative project from the grime MC along with James Blake and Airhead.
A special DJ set comes from Mark Pritchard (WARP Records) who has recently collaborated with the likes of Thom Yorke on his latest album Under The Sun. The album release was celebrated with an immersive A/V installation in conjunction with Red Bull Music Academy in NYC. A master in the world of Electronica, Pritchard plays all over the world.
DJ slots throughout the night also come from 1-800 associates James Blake, Airhead, Dan Foat, Klaus and Mr Assister.
