The Gold Tips are a soul band defined by conviction. Emerging from Belfast with a sound

steeped in the lineage of Sam Cooke, Stax Records, and Northern Soul, their second album

Hope and Recreation captures the emotional truth that sits at the heart of great soul music.

Formed around frontman and songwriter Eamonn McNamee, The Gold Tips have built their

identity not through imitation, but through immersion - drawing from the emotional directness and

musical richness of classic soul.

“We’ve always been drawn to soul music because it says something real,” McNamee explains.

“There’s nowhere to hide in it. It’s direct, it’s emotional, and when it’s right, it connects with

people immediately.”New album Hope and Recreation builds on the foundations of their debut Parade,

expanding both the emotional and sonic scope of the band.

From moments of warmth and uplift to more restless, searching arrangements, the record

reflects a band growing in confidence and depth.
